Pilates is in essence considered “mindful exercise”, as to perform it correctly requires concentration and precision in every movement. Because of this, it naturally connects mind and body. My class is open to people of different levels of fitness and from all walks of life. It places focus on core strength, while simultaneously addressing postural issues, building muscle strength, and increase endurance, balance and mobility. I incorporate exercises from the APPI Pilates repertoire, which includes classical Pilates and a combination of exercises from other styles that will create a series of gentle and flowing mindful movements.
I was introduced to Pilates after suffering a severe injury and, since then, it has brought countless physical and mental benefits to my life. Through delving deeper into the Pilates realm, I gained muscle strength and postural awareness. It revolutionised how I felt about movement and inspired me to become a certified Pilates Instructor with APPI (Australian Physiotherapy Pilates Institute), which is a worldwide leading educator.
