YOGA AND VISION BOARD WORKSHOP
Saturday 16 January 2021 2:00 - 4:30pm
After an uncertain 2020, we gratefully welcome a fresh new year. Although external circumstances largely remain the same, 2021 brings many possibilities for new beginnings. By cultivating awareness and allowing our hearts to guide us, everything can fall into place.
In this workshop, Carina and Jade will guide us through a yoga session followed by 'vision board' creation. We will connect to our hearts and our authentic self, identifying innate talents and gifts to manifest into being. You will gain clarity around your goals and mindfully set intentions for 2021.
This is the first of a series of workshops taking inspiration from the nature, through the four seasons. In this first session, Carina and Jade will facilitate a sacred space for you to connect with Winter and the many gifts that it brings. Like Autumn, this season is the time to rest, turn inwards, honour the dark, restore and heal. It is a time to claim space for yourself, reflect, let go and vision for the new seasonal cycle that begins in the Spring.
What will the workshop involve?
Carina will first take you through a yoga session to get out of your mind, letting go of any judgements and tapping into our hearts, and authentic self.
The second part of the session, Jade will guide us through the creation of your vision board - an interactive process which allows you to creatively visualise your goals on paper, with pectoral representations and keywords that will continue to motivate and inspire you long after the day is over.
About your facilitators
Jade Swaby is a yoga and holistic wellbeing enthusiast, cat-lover and avid traveller. She is a social justice advocate, activist and practitioner who supports women to re-empower themselves and self-actualise on their journeys of healing from trauma. Jade feels most alive when connected to her heart centre, channeling her creativity and sharing her gifts and talents with others.
Carine Bidese is one of our much-loved yoga teachers at Zenw2. She has been in the yoga world for over ten years, reaching over 750h of training in Táraka Yoga in Brazil and subsequently in India. She is coming to the end of her MSc in Applied Positive Psychology and Coaching Psychology.

Restorative yoga is centred on holding postures for longer periods of time, completely supported by props. By using the props to support the body, the muscles are given the chance to release and relax deeply. The perfect antidote to feelings of stress and overstimulation, the practice is uniquely aimed at bringing the nervous system into balance. Deeply nourishing, calming and healing. This practice gives you the time and space to rest, release and restore. Suitable for all, including complete beginners.
What to bring? comfy clothes, including some warm socks and a jumper.
Beginners course with Trish
A new 4-week yoga course for beginners is starting on 1 November 2020.
This is the ideal way to learn the fundamentals of yoga. It will introduce you to the key yoga postures, why we do them, and their effect on the body. You will learn helpful breathing techniques to enhance not only your yoga practise but also very useful in everyday life. And finally you will be introduced to meditation practices to help calm a stressed or anxious mind.
The learning environment is non-competitive and supportive. It doesn’t matter how old you are, how big or small your body is or whether you’re male or female. You don’t need to be flexible, fit or strong to start. That comes as a consequence of practising yoga; it’s not a prerequisite.
To ensure everyone's comfort and safety, classes are being kept super small, a maximum of 5 participants only. This also means that you will get lots of attention and feedback during the course.
Should we need to terminate the course due to any new Covid-19 government guidelines, then a refund for any remaining classes will be issued. Should you need to self-isolate during the course then we can arrange for you to join the live class from your home via Zoom.
